Coming soon!
Me and Tom just finished laying vocals on one of the new tracks, we recorded in my closet and I do mean that litterally.
Sounds fucking awesome!
Only problem was that we had to construct a micstand by ourselves ´cause we forgot the other one in the studio. We made one using no more, no less than: a lamp, a baseballbat, a "raggsocka" and a shitload of ducttape. Yes, we will post pictures. I never thought my own closet could sound so much like a studio, but it did.....
See ya!

Unplaned gig!
Well, x-mas is here, the end of the year is close!
4 of us were on a cool party this saturday in Husqvarna. Some bands was going to play, so we brought our moonshine and packed our best modes in a bag and went there! First out was a half punk half rock band with swedish lyrics, we all liked it! Next was - US, yeah drunk as we were with one member totally lost(John), we did 3 songs, one of them were our newest "O.W.B" which we are recording at this time. Then followed 2 other bands, the band that played last i dont remember that good but i think they were pretty cool, but the band right after us "The Draculas" - with parts from "Min pappa är starkare än kungen" were really good, thats is some good music, that is music that everybody should enjoy live -explosive!!!!! We had a really good time, so thank you everybody involved in the party for a good night!
Thats how we end this year, we are recording new shit now and will hopefully end the recordings early next year. Its a bit of new sound, you know - "like you have never heard us before" ;) haha, quess thats true btw.
Thanks to Mire and Johan for a good year, i hope we will do a good 2006 to!
Peace / Tom (that is having a difficult time now cause he has stopped snuffing(snusa!!!!) so dont tease him!)
Good friends and a bottle of whisky
Hello!
Sitting here drinkin´a nice Laphroaig Quarter Cask all by myself. Life is good. Just got off work about an hour ago. Gettin ready to go see our good friends The Backbeats play at Waffis.
Check ´em out if you get a chance!
We´ve been recording for the last 2 weeks. The song is called O.W.B and it´s quickly becoming a favourite of mine. It´s a driving, pummeling rock song with loads of slide and some of marcus´most energtic drumming. I fucking love it!
Now it´s time to blast Hendrix ´til the neighbours go crazy...
See ya!

London´s Burning
Yo yo yo...
I´m back from my visit to London an my dear friends Björn and Brenge.
I had a truly great time...Didn´t do nothin special, just hung around with the friends.
Yeah, something special did we actually do, enjoyed a musical called "Dancing In the Streets", it was a celebration of the Motown record company. All the singers were black, the band too... They sure know their stuff if i put it that way... Songs of Marvin Gay, Stevie Wonder and many more.
We also watched England-Argentina in Björns sisters boyfriends apartment, lots of beer of course, and a peak at Owens 3-2 goal...
Lots of beer in general though...
That´s it for me, heard that The Black Crowes were to play in London, any economical contributions to help our trip are more than welcome.
Now were up to recording. For real this time. With our own stuff, and in total (almost) control of everything. It will be great to put some time in it to make it sound just as we want it so sound. With a little help from our friends of course... Sounden and Ivan...
And i almost forgot! Go watch Ivan and Chris band tomorrow (Thursday), they will rock the shit out of Högskolan in JönneJönköping.

The circus comes to town!
Holy shit!
Last nights show at Almenäs källare was, how should I put this?, Energetic? Crazy? Intense?
I´ll have to go with all of the above.
Thanks to all who made it a special thing!
Can´t really say I remember anything about the gig except that I got electrocuted after 3 songs. My right arm still feels funny but at least I got my sense of touch back now. Still couldn´t feel two of my fingers this morning. This show was probably the most fun I´ve had on stage ever! Everything went wrong and people were going nuts! That´s Rock and Roll for ya!
Next time we come, you better watch out!
...and the circus leaves town....

A new day, A new dawn!
Hello!
What a day!
I woke up today and everything was different.
J- Södra is now playing in Superettan! Still have a hangover from last nights celebration. Still have a hard time grasping the fact. Were really close to tears after the game yesterday, one year of wishing and hoping came to an end yesterday. Many people sharing the same dream got their wish. Simply beautiful. It´s a new day, a new city, a better city.
DVD Coming soon!
Yes we will be releasing a DVD soon. The show at Gårdsbandsfestivalen was taped and were planning on taping this weekends upcoming gig too. Make something nice out of it along with some bonusmaterial and sell it to you guys cheap as hell.
Snow is falling outside my window.
I guess that dreadful time of year is here: Winter. On one hand I really hate this time a year, on the other I really like it cause it gives you a perfectly good excuse for staying in, playing guitar and making new music and recording.
We plan on finishing the coming demo ourselves since our good friend Johan Sandén moved his studio to Stockholm. We still hope to continue working with Johan but he has a really tight schedule and we´re an impatient bunch and are gonna try to do it ourselves.
Gig in Nässjö!
Yes! This Saturday we´re gonna rock Almenäs källare in Nässjö. Anybody that wants to come along is more than welcome. Just drop us a line in the templemail and we´ll see what we can do.
See ya!

(i just had to squezze in - and say - EAT Thåströms new song /Tom)
Fierce weekend!
Well well, the weekend is over, and damn - what happend? It keeps flashing in my head, spinning round and round , depression over the early morning, work etc etc etc - and despite the sequences of drinking the famous "dunka" I and i think whole Lola are very happy and satisfied with the past weekend! The gig went well, we were little bit insecure about how it had developed but after seeing the recording of the gig we thought, cool...it looked as we had fun wich we had! Everything went as planned apart from my singing on the last song, it was totally wrong all the way, sounded like real crap, but then again, what the fuck..keep on rocking, its a free world!
We´re going to Nässjö in about two weeks, its gonna be great - more info about that soon!
Yesterday the whole band went to Bunkeflo to watch J-Södra beat up Bunkeflo IF and take a further step to Superettan. WE ARE VERY GLAD OVER THIS!
We love Södra so god damn much. Now i have to rehabilitate and heal my wounds.
I must say Bror Stalin & The Horses new songs are so good, please listen to ém! You´ll find the way at www.dialogcet.com!
Peace /Tom
Time to land!
This Friday it is time for Temple of Lola to rock Jönne again! Its been a while since we showed what we are really made of. Our latest gig (witch went well) did sound like kindergarden compared to what we are gonne show you on Friday at "Gårdsbandsfestivalen". With kindergarden i mean low tempo, low decibel, acoustic, whisks(vispar), no fucking screams and no god damn moves. We are ignited as hell, witch was shown at our latest rehersal this Monday, nobody stood still and everybody made deep deep love with their instruments.
So go and see us, we shall not disappoint you.
/Tom
Uncle Tom
I am so very happy this evening!
My brother is now dad witch means that i have become "Uncle Tom".
This is one of the happiest moments for me ever!
It will be a pleasure Elias!

The show
Hey!
Autumn is here and I´ve got the blues.... Seems like all my favourite musicians are passing away. Little Freddie King is missing after Hurricane Katrina. Clarence Gatemouth Brown passed yesterday.... I tell ya! It must be sweet up there in heaven, or maybe hell, I don´t know. Strange times...
The gig last friday went pretty well, considering it was thrown togheter rahter haphazardly and we played a bunch of songs we don´t normally do I´d say it felt pretty good. Played half the show with Toms Telecaster, that is one sweet guitar! The other half I played with the Hagström/Bjärton acoustic that my father bought in ´68. Still the best guitar ever made. Built like a tank. Thick neck, never stays in tune, no tone unless you use strings thicker than 0.12, and I love it.
We are getting ready to rehearse and record some new material. Next gig isn´t until late october so we should have something ready and hopefully out by that time. Keep your fingers crossed. We have some really great song to lay on ya! The new songs have a sort of swagger to them that we didn´t have before. It´s all about the groove these days. I have never heard marcus play the drums like this before. He blows me away every time.
Anyway we´re gonna produce the new songs ourselves, hopefully with some help from our good friend Johan Sandén.
I´d like to thank all the people that came to the show and made it special. Hope to see you next time!
´Til then
Be good, make love.
Peace John

The Gig
Yesterday we played a gig at the "Kulturhuset" in Jönköping. The theme for the night was "rock against HFF" and the night turned out quite alright. We decided perform the gig in a acoustic set, with me playing rods and "vispar", in a quiter more intimate show.
The "studio" was about full when we started(i think) and they seemed to like it., I surely enjoyed it more than for a long time. Tom was at his peak and got several of appreciations after the show. Victor was solid as a rock and Robin too. John played half the show with his acoustic guitar and then swiched to the Telecaster which sounded great in this setup.
Overall a great night.. Despite the lousy sondcheck..
Hope to see all of you who were there again!

R.L Burnside 1926 - 2005
It is with sorrow in my heart that I must tell you that one of the greats died yesterday. Just found out this morning that blues legend R.L Burnside passed away. R.L had been sick a while, I knew that but somehow I guess I just didn´t think he was gonna go. It´s a damn shame! I tell ya! Give your prayers and positive thinking to R.L´s twelwe children and wife Alice Mae. R.L was blues walking like a man, the embodiment of guitar moan and backdoor slam, the kind of person to yell fire in a crowded theatre and the player of the meanest hill countryblues you ever heard. Check out his albums at Fatpossum.com, I personally recomend every single one of them. In honor of R.L, I suggest you go out tonight, drink som whiskey and cause a ruckus just to remember him! Like R.L said: When I die, someones gotta play these blues!
